The Rocka, originally a reprographic company in Rotterdam, The Netherlands has become a steady supplier of semiconductor equipment manufacturers over the past twenty years.
We produce maylarfilm templates used to speed up preinstall activities, reduce costs and diminish the time between the arrival/delivery of the machine at fab and the moment when it’s up and running.

Need
Our customers fabricate high tech and expensive equipment/machines used in the fabrication process of integrated circuits. Due to the extensive amount of piping, cables, lines and ducts that connect these machines in the cleanroom to cabinets and similar in the clean subfab and/or the utility level, installing the machines takes a lot of time and a lot of costs are involved.

Solution
The Rocka produces a maylarfilm template. A 1:1 floor plan of the outline of the machine and all its facility connections. Mechanics put the template down on the floor and can perform all the preinstall activities like drilling holes and install the piping.

The template saves time which was necessary for measurement and similar. Thanks to the maylarfilm template mechanics have the machine at their disposal weeks before the actual machine will arrive. This enhances preinstall activities, reduces costs and diminish the time between the arrival/delivery of the machine at fab and the moment when it’s up and running.
